  6. The Sample Files folder contains files illustrating various capabilities of Tailor for Mac OS. Read on for a short description of each file.

  8. DemoScript
  9. A text document with a script that leads you through a hands-on session, illustrating Tailor's key features. To follow the demo you need the files HexiumText.ps  and HexiumGraph.ps  and a (not necessarily licensed) copy of Tailor for Mac OS.

  11. HexiumText.ps
  12. A PostScript file generated by Quark XPress 3.1 used in the DemoScript.

  14. HexiumGraph.ps
  15. A PostScript file generated by Microsoft Excel for Windows used in the DemoScript.

  17. Hexium-DemoResult.ps
  18. This is a PostScript file saved from Tailor. It is the result of following the steps in the DemoScript. Even if you only have access to a demo version of Tailor, this file allows you to look at the PostScript code generated by Tailor.

  20. Hexium-SimpleText.txt
  21. This SimpleText file shows the result of Tailor's text extract feature. It was made by selecting the first page of HexiumText.ps (using Select All in the Edit menu) and then choosing Copy from the Edit menu. The result was pasted in a new SimpleText document. No further editing was done to the SimpleText document.

  23. Hexium-RTF.txt
  24. As an alternative to copying and pasting text to SimpleText, you can also use Tailor's text extract feature to save a page or a selection to plain ASCII or Rich Text Format text. This text-file was generated by saving the first page of HexiumText.ps as a Rich Text Format file. You can open this file with any word-processor supporting the RTF format.

  27. An Encapsulated PostScript file saved from Tailor with a masked pixel image. Even if you only have access to a demo version of Tailor, this file allows you to look at the PostScript code generated by Tailor.

  30. An Encapsulated PostScript file saved from Tailor with some simple line art. Even if you only have access to a demo version of Tailor, this file allows you to look at the PostScript code generated by Tailor.
